What do I need to do before I can start driving?

You will need to ensure you have your provisional license. This can be completed online or filling in the correct form from the post office. 

Will I drive on my first lesson?

Short answer yes.  The first lesson is all about learning how to enter and leave the car safely as well as learning all of the controls and how to set the car up for you. Once we have learnt this we get driving. I would always advise a 2 hour lesson to allow for as much driving as possible.

How many lessons will I need before I can take my test?

There is no requirement for how many hours you must do before taking your driving test. Everybody learns at different paces. The DVSA advise that you complete at least 45 hours with a qualified instructor as well as completing 

Do I need to pass my theory before I can start driving lessons?
No you do not need to pass the theory test before you can begin lessons. I would always advise getting your theory passed as quickly as you can. This way we have no limitations when booking a driving test.

What happens if I have an emergency and I can’t do my driving lesson?

Don’t worry too much. If you have an emergency reason that is less than 24 hours before your driving lesson, please give me a ring or a text and we can discuss. Anything like illness on the day is out of your control.
